        • During the winter months, there is alot of snowfall on the peaks of the Alps. This is a good oportunity for winter events such as: skiing, snowboarding and winter climbing and other snow events.
    • H.E.P.
      • Hydro-electric power is generated by Hydro-power. It is made through the use of gravitational force or flowing water.
      • It is commonly used as power in Fold mountains because as the glaciers melt, they produce fast flowing rivers.
    • Forestry
      • Coniferous trees are the main type of tree that grow on The Alps.
      • They Grow mostly on the North side of the mountains and have been purposely cultivated.
      • The people that live there rely on the forest to provide materials and fuel to live
      • The trees provide paper, pulp and fuel to burn

      • Diary Farmers move thier animals up the mountain in the summer so the crops can be planted in the valley.
      • Farming is a main activity in fold mountains.
      • The main types of farming are dairy or sheep.
      • Farming is done on the Valley floor because of the flat land and fertile soil.
      • They also plant hay and cereal in the summer in the valley where the mouintains shield it from the wind.
