      • Organising & Managing eFiles on a company server and/or cloud storage
      • Controlling which staff have access to folders & files
      • Manage the security of the computer system
      • Manage back-up copies and eFiles
      • Providing support service for staff with IT issues
      • Installing & Updating Software
      • Preparing user guides & policies (alongside Administration Teams)
      • Managing the website & intranet
    • Benefits of an organised data management system
      • More efficient as staff have easy access to files that they need
      • Productivity increases as staff have access to the data when required when it is required
      • Less risk of confidential data being accessed by unauthorised staff
      • Loss chance of files being lost as data manager can help retrieve files or provide a back-up copy
      • Data files should be up-to-date, as old files should be removed from the system
      • Easy to share files and folders with other staff, avoids duplication
    • Consequence of poor Data Management
      • Time is wasted searching for files
      • Staff are not confident that they are working with the most up-to-date files
      • Server becomes full - too many old files & too many duplicate copies of files
      • Risk that company will breach the Data Protection Act
      • Risk of virus' on the computer system
