    • Christmas
      • Celebrates the birth of Jesus - God's son in human form. Although it's on 25 December it's not believed to be his actual birth date.
      • Advent is the countdown to Christmas. Calendars and candles are used to count down the days.
      • Cards and presents are given and houses are decorated. Families share special meals and come together to celebrate.
    • Easter
      • It remembers the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
      • Hot cross buns are eaten to represent Jesus' death on the cross.
      • Easter eggs represent the empty tomb and birth.
    • "And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them." (Luke 2:7)
    • "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
