  • Bandura (behaviour)
    • 1)      Attention    learning takes place when a child focuses their attention on a person who "models" the behaviour
      • 2)    Retention    What has been observed is retained in the child's memory to be used when an opportunity occurs
        • 3) reproduction  What has been learned is reproduced it may be rehearsed in the child's mind first and then imitated at a later stage when there is an opportunity
          • 4)    Motivation       children feel more motivated because they anticipate intrinsic or extrinsic rewards. Children will be motivated to repeat or cease the behaviour depending on intrinsic or extrinsic reinforcement
    • Bobo doll experiment
      • Children where shown adults being aggressive and non-aggressive to a bobo doll. The agressive adults where either rewarded, reprimanded or had no consequence for their behaviour
      • Experiment was used to show that children would copy the aggressive as they thought it was the right thing to do.
      • This experiment how ever does not show long term effects on the children
