What is the definition of shunting ?
Any movement of a train other than the normal movement on a running line

A person competent to control movements in a depot, yard or siding

Describe Catch Points and how they are used ?
Catch points will derail a train when making an unauthorised WRONG direction movement, EG on a slope - quite often spring points
