What is variation?
Variation is the differences beteen individuals
1 of 7
What is intraspecific variation?
This is the variation between the same species for example how many 'eyes' peacock feathers have on them
2 of 7
Interspecific Variation
This is the variation between different species
3 of 7
Causes of variation?
Environmental and Genetic
4 of 7
Genetic causes?
All members of a species have the same genes but they have different versions these are alleles. The alleles an organism has make up its genotype and the way they are expressed the phenotype
5 of 7
Genetic differences arise from?
Mutations, random fusion of gametes ad meiosis. In assecually reproducing organisms this can only be increased by mutation
