Who was his first Lord Protector? What happened to him?
Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset was Lord Protector in 1547 to 1549. He was Edwards uncle. He was executed in 1552.

Who was Edwards second Lord Protector?
John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland overthrew Seymour in 1549 until the end of Edward vi reign.

When was the Battle of Pinkie and what happened?
1547. Scotland went back on the idea of a marrage allience with Mary QoS and Edward and so Somerset when to scotland and won the battle however Mary was smuggled out to France to Mary the Dauphin of France (Francis) and the allience never went ahead.

What was the Regency Council
Set up by Henry viii before he died to help Edward run the country. There were 16 men of which were equally split between Catholic and Protestant. At the start Somerset took the lead of the council the later on Northumberland.

What did Edward and Seymour do in Scotland?
They built garrisons on the borders of Scotland to watch over them and stop any attacks.

What religous reforms were put in place?
Common Book of Prayer and Act of Uniformity in 1549. And repealed the 6 articals act. The Disolussion of the Chantries also occured.

What were the 2 main rebelions and when were they?
The Western Rebellion was in May-Aug 1549. Caused by peopel rejecting the Pray book and Sheep Tax, Lord Russell eventually defeated them. The Ketts was July-Aug 1547 becuase of Enclosure and the economies decline. Earl of warrick dealt with them.

What was the economy like and how was it made worse?
Due to the first debase of coinage, real wages decreased, inflation increased and unemployment increased and there were poor harvests. The coinage was debased again.

What was the Devyse?
It was created by Northumberland to stay in power. it made the next heir to the throne Lady Jane Gray (daughter in-law and protestant) instead of the catholic Mary. Edward agreed to this in 1553.

What did Northmberland do in his foreign policy?
He ended the war with France and Scotland, dispanded garissons in Scotland and sold back Boulogne for 400 000 in 1550.
