Transition element
a d-block element that has an incomplete d-sub-shell as a stable ion

Monodentate ligands

Stereoisomers
A species with the same structural formula but with a different arrangement of the atoms in space

Optical isomers
Moleucles which are non-superimposable mirror images of each other. Same chemical properties but interact with polarised light differently
