Parental choice of school benefits MC more than WC. MC have cultural and economic capital and will take advantage of the opportunities for a good education. Three types- privileged-skilled choosers, disconnected-local choosers and semi-skilled.

Study on labeling interviewed 60 teachers , He found teachers judged pupils according to if they were the ‘ideal pupil.’ MC pupils fitted most closely to 'ideal' and WC were not even near. Pupils work ,conduct and appearance are key factors.
