Hi, I'm Jananiy.... we are representing the JMF. Strongly believe this charity is in need of £3000 -> money will definitely be put to good use.

Wide variety of possible weapons -> Frightening.Jimmy murdered by Jake Fahri day after 16th bday in a local bakery. On the day ->Jimmy + Jake there at same time.This is when arguments started.

Our Personal Mission Statement: "The small charity with a big mission. Helping young minds release their inner peace."

Jimmy murdered when Fahri threw glass dish ->died in brother's arms.

Question: "What form of weapon do you mainly associate with murder/violent acts?" Jimmy -> tiny shard og glass ->3 mins.

On the night of death was Margaret's promise which is motive of JMF :1)Keep Jimmy's memory alive. 2)Dedicate life to peace.

Short Role Play: Shows how foundation impacts people's lives. History: Started in 2008, family based. Barry and Mrgaret decided to do something positive and useful with recieved donations.

Charity's main slogan: "Promote the good in young people." Aim to have impact on young people's lives before wrong path + violence.As well as verbally helping, provide work experience for youths -> choice available to them and kick-start careers not

They were eager to make a positive impact form death, so started life-changing charity which has made a huge impact on community.

To raise awarness, events and campaigns -> Family United, Jimmy 21 and CitySafe Havens.

The charity works only in Lewisham, the borough most affected by youth crime in the country, 2 people in our group live there -> Local to us

CitySafe Havens: Most well-known project. Shopkeepers Lewisham pledge to provide safehaven to + welcome vulnerable, scared, anixious youths on streets into shop. Shopkeeper calls police/parents and locks doors to keep youth safe. 350 Shops on scheme.

Jimmy21: Marks 5th anniversary of death, celebrates "21st" bday. Series of events like 21 mile walk/ BBQ from 11th-31st May. Plz join in ->21 minutes/hours/days ->sponsor our 21 mins of meditation,shortly after half-term,even if we don't win.

Have to spend donations carefully -> Trustees help. Always send a thank you letter to every doner , no matter how small or big donations is.

Cafe of Good Hope: Hither Green, next to HQ. Provides work experience, Hygiene Certificates and First Aid Training ->essential in many jobs ->gives youth path and choice. Also community hub -> opportunity for socializing.

Logo: 2 Feathers "arranged like this". On day of Jimmy's death, white feather found on body. They often see white feathers before talks and know Jimmy is safe in heaven.

Only financial assistance from local council was small amount to start of Cafe. Annual Turnover: £89.2k-> more than income. Fundraising: Quiz nights, parties. Only two paid staff->mainly volunteers.

During Charity Visit: 16 yr old Camilla. Started by volunteering, now works for charity.Foundation gave her many opportunities -> America to rebuild homes + presidential elections.

Camilla quote: "The Jimmy Mizen Foundation are different to other charities because they always stay true to their mission and really work for the young people."Foundation gave Camilla confidence and starting point in life.

Charity has helped family become stronger mentally and are able to help others ins imilar situations to recover. Before murder-> Mrs Mizen was a simple housewife. Quote: It makes you wonder hwo your lfie can change."

Barry and Margaret have visited many schools + prisons, gave inspiring speches that genuinely change people's lives. JMF looks at root of the problem, "never get angry because anger is what killed Jimmy".

With £3000: Planning to buy a new Jimmy Bus -> between £3000 - £10,000, money definite big impact. Bus transports Scouts Groups, Local Community, Lewisham Transport Scheme -> JMF would love to let more people be free to use them.

Speeches about passion and support for one another, learning to live together, choice + peace. Have inspired some of the most troubled children in school to get together -> peace rap.

As you can see this money will definitely be put to good use and will at the minimum make up 1/3 of the total fund for a Bus. The charity have a firm idea of what they will do + positive impact -> will help provide safe transport.

JMF is special -> small but very important, one of few charities working to prevent youth crime in Lewisham, the borough which is worst affected by youth crime in the UK. We must support them to help them cope with such an intense problem.

It also affects our generation, it affects US! Imagine if one of your family members was badly bruised by youth crime, something easily preventable.

From meeting them we felt their passion and determination to make a difference.We hope you understand this charity is making big impact on huge problem, we can help!
