What is the sensory register?

What is maintenance rehearsal?
This repeats memories which eventually creates a LTM. This also gives a direct relationship between the STM and LTM

What is retrieval?
Retrieval from the LTM goes through STM so that memories are made available for use

HM has brain damage caused by an operation to remove both his hippo campus's. He could not form LTM'S.
