What is a driver?

Less space is required on the hard drive, which may improve the computer’s efficiency. Quicker for experts. • Specialist language is required, which a beginner may find difficult to use.

No specialist language is required, like Command Line, Much more easier to use a mouse for selecting and other processes, Simplified structure – the use of icons for shortcuts.(WIMP)

Disadvantages of GUI
Requires more space on the CPU of a computer. Increased processing requirements To run the latest GUI, a faster and more powerful processor is required.

What is a menu driven interface?
An interface where the user is presented with a list of options and they type in the letter or number of their selection

Simple interface which requires minimal clicking. Easy to understand and use. Only suitable if there are limited options. Can cause probs if poorly designed/though out

An interface that allows the user to interact using natural written or spoken language.

The programs and documentation for a piece of software, such as Microsoft. The software which are incorporated are compatible with each other (data can be transferred between modules.

Application package consisting of software for distinct applications, such as Microsoft or Sun Microsystems.

Ads and disads of integrated
Cheaper than purchasing individual packages. Data can be transferred between modules. Consistency. Easier to install. Wasted money for untouched modules. Separate packages within an integrated package may lack in areas.

Header-Text placed at the top of a document.Footer-Text placed at the bottom of a document Bullet Point-A block or paragraph of text that has a symbol placed in front to make the text stand out. Template-Files which hold standardised document layouts

Relational databases-A database system where data is held in tables with relationships established between them. The software is used to set up and hold data as well as extract and manipulate the stored data. One-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many
