What is the Physically activated input entry?

Where the user interacts directly with the interface, and by their actions, is part of that interface (Scroll bars in Windows and Control box to resize a window)

Making hardware universal so that it can fit many different products. E.g. USB cables

What are storage devices?
To store data that is not currently being processed Sometimes referred to as secondary store or mass storage.

What are the advantages of standardisation?
Cheaper to add to or replace your equipment - More convenient, as you don’t need to replace the entire machine if the fault is just in one part - More availability because more people sell these standardised hardware devices

What are the drawbacks of standardisation?
Companies compete and can bankrupt each other - Less choice, because its unique to the device - Need to purchase equipment straight from the companies so it’s more expensive
