What are scalars?
Scalars are quantities with no direction and only magnitude.
E.g. speed, mass, distance.

What are vectors?
Vectors are quantities that have both magnitude and direction.
E.g. displacement, velocity, weight.

How are vectors represented?
By arrows.
The direction of the arrowhead indicates the direction of the vector.
The length of the arrow indicates the magnitude of the vector.

What is the resultant vector?
The resultant vector is the combination of vectors at right angles to one another.

How do you calculate the vector?
With a graph or with Pythagoras's theorem.

How do you calculate the resultant force?
Resultant force (FR)= Effect of force 1 (F1) + effect of force (F2).
