Christian: Community service is part of reformation and can help the criminal change.

Muslim: It will not be enough to stop them from committing a crime again.

Christian Attitude to Death Penalty
Christian: The criminals are not able to change their attitude if they are dead; life is holy; ten commandments; two wrongs don't make a right; little evidence that it is a deterrent; murder is done without thinking.

Muslim Attidude to Death Penalty
Muslim: It is deserved if the crime is equal to this- for example murder as some crimes are serious enough; it is a deterrent; closure to victim/victim's family; protects other people; principle of utility.
