What is the working model made up of?

The central executive which then leads to the Visuo-sketch pad or the Phonological loop which both lead to the long term memory

Describe the Phonological loop?

This retains most of the verbal and acoustic information with a limited capacity (phonological store briefly holds acoustically coded information)(articulatory control press allows for sub vocal rehearsal of items)

Describe the Visuo spatial sketchpad ?

This retains visual and spatial information with limited capacity.

Describe the central executive?

The main role to allocate the information which enters the memory to the right part of the short term memory

Baddeley . AIm to find the capacity of the phonological loop.Finding participants could only complete one task using the phonological loop, while they could complete 2 tasks using the phonological loop and the visuo-spatial sketchpad

Baddeley. Aim to find out the capacity of the phonological loop. Findings were that particpants could only complete one task using the visuo-spatial sketch pad, while using they could complete task using both the phonological loop and visuo-spatial.
