What is amplitude?
Amplitude of a wave is the maximum displacement of a point on a wave away from its undisturbed position
1 of 8
Where is the amplitude wave vibrate from?
From the undisturbed position
2 of 8
What is wavelength?
The wavelength of a wave is the distance from a point on one wave to equivalent on the adjacent wave.
3 of 8
How do we wavelength on a longitudinal wave?
We measure from one compression to the next compression or from one rarefaction to the next rarefaction
4 of 8
What is the frequency?
The number of waves passing a point each second.
5 of 8
What is the unit of frequency?
Hertz (Hz)
6 of 8
What is a Hertz equivalent too?
1 wave per second
7 of 8
What is the equation for frequency?
Period (s)=1 / frequency (Hz)
