wavelength is measured in metres, not metres/second and v=f x lamda, so therefore lamda=v/f not lamda=f/v

Transverse wave: The motion of particles is perpendicular to the direction of propogation.

Refraction isn't just when the waves bend toward the normal. It is also when the waves bend away from the normal (e.g. when the wave speed up like a glass-air boundry)
