What is a Vector Quantity?
A vector quantity has magnitude (size) and direction.
1 of 6
What is a Scalar Quantity?
A Scalar quantity has no direction, it is an amount of something.
2 of 6
What does Velocity mean?
The rate of change of displacement
3 of 6
What does finding the resultant mean?
Finding the resultant means adding two or more vectors together.
4 of 6
How do you find resultant vectors by using scale diagrams?
You can find the resultant vector of two vectors by drawing a scale drawing of them 'tip to tail' (if they're not already) then measuring the length and angle of the resultant vector on the diagram.
5 of 6
How do you resolve vectors into components?
Resolving vectors is the opposite of finding the resultant-you start from the resultant vector and split it into two components at right angles to each other.
