What is the difference between nuclear fission and nuclear fusion?
fission is seperating two atoms to give off energy, fusion is joining two atoms
1 of 5
Name one place where fussion takes place.
Fusion takes place mainly in main sequence stars, such as The Sun
2 of 5
What is the main reason Scientists have not used fusion?
The energy needed is so emence that it would burn the atmosphere. Scientists are now looking for cold fusion, fusion without the heat.
3 of 5
What is the issue with fission?
Because the two atoms are being smashed together alpha and beta particles (helium nuclei and electrons), as well as gamma waves are being emited
4 of 5
Out of Alpha particles, Beta particles and Gamma waves, which will go through foil but not Lead
Beta particles
