S.E = chills, uterine disorder, vasodilation, blurred vision, post menopausal haemorrhage
T = tremor, convulsions, sinus tachycardia

M.o.A = selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor,
inhibits the presynaptic reuptake of serotonin

A = < 90% oral bioavailability via hepatic 1st pass metabolism
D = 94% plasma protein bound + lipophilic -> to brain. vol. 20-42 L/kg (fluoxetine + norfluoxetine)

Metabolism? Elimination?
M = -> norfluoxetine by cp450 enzymes. fluoxetine + norfluoxetine facilitate excretion via glucuronidation. Hippuric acid is created (N-demethylation + O-dealkylation)
E = primarily via urine
