Define the term 'Lobbying'
This is where members of the public meet with Members of Parliament (MPs) in lobbies or small hallways whilst they are on their way to the House of Commons.

Outline three disadvantages of pressure groups
1) On a whole only bigger groups are heard as many people view that they hold the majority view and opinion. 2) Some groups such as Fathers4Justice endure scandals and stunts to get their point across. 3)Larger groups take dominance in the hearings.

Outline three advantages of pressure groups
1)It gives the minority a public vote. 2)They raise awareness to specific issues and laws can come into place because of this (banning smoking in a public place 2007). 3) Keeps a good connection between the public/locals and their MPs.

Explain who Rupert Murdoch is and how is he influential on Parliament?
Rupert Murdoch owns Sky TV, the Times, the Sun and the Daily Mail. Because he owns such a vast range of media sources he is a very powerful man and therefore can change the views of the public.

Three Advantages of the media:
1) Can be extremely powerful 2) Free press and therefore in theory wewe can trash talk the goverment and politics as much as we would like. 3)Can change the public's opinion quickly

Three disadvantages of the media:
1)Can distort the 'real' image and the 'right' interpretation of a situation. 2) Criticized for being too close to the politicians 3) Some laws can be misinterpreted such as the 'Dangerous Dogs Act 1991'
