What is magnification?
Magnification is when an object is observed so that it becomes a larer image.
2 of 14
What is resolution?
Resolution is when u can see parts of a cell. The higher the resolution,, the more of a detailed image you get.
3 of 14
What is standard form?
Standard form is used to write really big/small numbers more easily.
4 of 14
What is the unit of measurment usually used in Biology?
micrometres

What is a specialised cell?
A specialised cell is a cell that has adapted to complete a certain function.
6 of 14
What is biological catalyst?
Biological catalyst sppeds up the reaction and can be reused.
7 of 14
What is diffusion?
Diffusion is the movement of particles from a high concentration to a low concentration, down a concentration gradient. It is passive.
8 of 14
What is equilibruim?
Equilibruim is where both concentrations are the same, same amount of particles therefore they don't move anymore.
9 of 14
What is osmosis?
Osmosis is the movement of water from a high cocentration to a low concentration, down a concentration gradient through a semi-permeable membrane. It is passive.

What is active transport?
Active transport is the movement of particles (minerals) from a low concentration to a high concentration, against a concentration gradient. It is not passive and it uses a protein pump.

What is a dependant variable?
The thing you are measuring
