What is Newton's Third Law?
Whenever two bodies interact, the forces they exert on each other are equal and opposite
1 of 9
What is Newton's Third Law principle?
All forces arise in pairs and force pairs are of the same type
2 of 9
What is centripetal force?
The resultant perpendicular force towards the centre of the circle required to keep a body in uniform circular motion
3 of 9
Equation for momentum
mass x velocity
4 of 9
Equation - momentum (Newton's second law)
force (newton, N) = change in momentum (kilogram
metre per second, kg m/s) ÷ time (second, s)
5 of 9
What is elastic collision (Momentum)
collide and move in opposite direction
6 of 9
What is inelastic collision (Momentum)
collide and move in same direction
7 of 9
Conservation of momentum
The total momentum before a collision = The total momentum after a collision
8 of 9
What is inertia?
an object's resistance to a change in motion
