What is the resultant force?
It is a single force that has the same efffect as all the forces acting on the object.
1 of 6
What happens when the resultant force is zero?
If the object is at rest it will stay at rest. If the object is moving it will carry on moving.
2 of 6
What is the unit of resultant force?
Newtons, N
3 of 6
What if the resultant force is not zero?
There will be acceleration in the direction of the force.
4 of 6
What happens to the object if a resultant force is on it?
If it is at rest it will accelerate in the direction of the force. If it is moving in the same direction it will accelerate. if it is going in the opposite direction it will decelerate.
5 of 6
What is the resultant force of a 4N force and a 3N force acting in the same direction?
7N in the same direction as the two forces.
