Equilibrium

?
what is dynamic equilibrium?
a point reached in a reversible reaction where the forward and reverse reactions are happening at the same rate
1 of 6
what was Le Chatelier's principle?
the position of equilibrium will respond to oppose a change in the reaction (whatever you do, it will undo)
2 of 6
what will happen if the concentration of the products decreases?
the position of equilibrium will move towards the reactants so that more product is made
3 of 6
what will happen if the temperature of a reaction increases?
the reaction will favor the endothermic side of the reaction so that more energy is being absorbed and the temperature decreases again
4 of 6
what will happen if the pressure of a reaction decreases?
the reaction will shift to the side where more molecules of gas are made to increase the pressure again
5 of 6
what will happen if the pressure of a reaction increases but the number of molecules (of gas) produced of both sides is equal?
it will not effect the position of equilibrium
