STATISTICAL INFREQUENCY - what it is
Based on the principle that certain behaivours are statistically rare in populations. If you measure any aspect of humans you will find carying degrees of the behaivour are normally distributed around the curve (Bell Shaped Curve).

This can be described well by eating habits. Eg. high frequency of eating = obesity, low frequency of eating = anorexia nervosa.

P - can't be used for all disorders. E - low levels of IQ = mental retardation, high IQ = NO DISORDER. C - this shows it's not reliable and you should take care not to try and diagnose healthy people with disorders.

P - subjective to culture. E - for example more people will identify as homosexual in the West, making it more statistically rare in the East. C - It's difficult to diagnose using this as you may have a disorder in one culture and not another.
