What is Data?
Data consists of raw facts and figures which are not set in a particular context, it does not have any meaning. E.g, 321 is just a sequence of numbers.

Information is processed facts and figures that have a context and a meaning. E.g, 321 is the Patient ID for Mrs Green.

What is Knowledge?
Knowledge is the result of applying rules to information to allow decisions to be made or to allow you to interpret the information.

Accuracy
The accuracy depends on the use made of the information by a person or organisation. To ensure information stays accurate thorough error checking must take place.

Up to Date
If information is out of date then it can reduce the quailty of information. Real time processing needs data inputted to be processed immediately.
