Metals reacting with water
Potassium, sodium, lithium and calcium all react with water. They all release hydrogen gas. Potassium floats and catches fire. Sodium floats and can be lit with a splint. Calcium's reaction is less vigorous, and lithium floats and fizzes.

Iron and Steel rust when in contact with water and oxygen. Rust faster in salty water/ acid rain.

They form a metal oxide. When cut, they lose their luster very quickly and go from shiny to dull.
