What gave recognition to the trade unions ?

As unskilled workers were less likely to see their interests best represented by the liberals and conservatives

A body which represented the unions collectively?

Why did TUC establish a labour representation committee in 1900?
To pursue parliamentary representation for the newly enfranchised working class.
This then went to become the Labour Party

Labour disputes as factories took on large numbers of men and TUC could extract concessions from employers

Unemployment and hardship for the working class in the 1920’s.
