and other nucleotides
Calcium - important in bones and teeth
1 of 5
What is the monosaccharide formula?
(CH2O)n
2 of 5
What is the triose/pentose/hexose sugar and function
triose = 3C - important in respiration and photosynthesis
pentose = 5C - constituents of nucleotides
hexose = 6C - glucose - respiration
3 of 5
What is the difference between a glucose and b glucose?
a glucose = H on top of carbon 1
b glucose = H on bottom of carbon 1
4 of 5
what is an isomer?
have the same chemical formula, arranged differently e.g a glucose and b glucose
