what is the function of the pituitary gland?
it controls growth and in females controls the release of an egg

what is the function of the thyroid gland?
controls the speed of chemical reactions in the cells. Lack of thyroxine can lead to little growth and mental development.

releases adrenalin- prepares your body for action. it speeds up heart rate, breathing, raises blood pressure and allows more glucose in the blood.
