Why would a kidney be replaced?
If it is a diseased one with a healthy one.

Where can a kidney be obtained from?
A victim of a fatal accident or sometimes a living donors.

What must the new kidney be?
A very good tissue match to prevent rejection.

What are the proteins on the surface of cells called?
Antigens?

What may the recipients antibodies do?
Attack the antigens on the donor organs because they are seen as foreign.

What may the recipitent take after the transplant?
Drugs to suppress the immune response to prevent the rejection.

What are these drugs called?
Immunosuppressant drugs.

What is bad about taking drugs?
It suppresses the patients immune system which leaves them vunerable to common infections.
