-Octavian raises an army and heads back to Rome to avenge Caesar's death. -The triumvirate is formed between Octavian, Marc Anthony and Lepidus - The Sicilian War between the triumvirate and Sextus Pompey starts.

-2nd Battle of Phillipi- Marc Anthony and Octavian and Marc Anthony defeat Cassius and Brutus.

-Octavian returns to Italy to settle the military veterans. He sets up 18 colonies for them. -Lucius Antonius does not like this. He starts a revolt against Octavian.

- Lucius Antonius is defeated at the siege of Peursia -Anthony and Octavian reconcile at Brundisium -Anthony marries Octavia (Octavian’s sister) -Octavian marries Scribonia to try and improve the situation between Sextus Pompey.

-Scribonia gives birth to Julia. Octavian’s only child.

-Octavian divorces Scribonia, then marries Livia who is pregnant with another man’s child. -This ends the pact with Sextus Pompey.
