These acts were put in place to limit and control the amount of people entering america during the 1920s. Mostly was in favour to WASPS ,and not to every one else

Literacy Test 1917
Foreigners had to be able to speak a passage of english to enter the country.

Emergancy Quota Act 1921
It let only a certain amount of people from different countries and races into the country .

National Origins Act 1924
More peopel from Northern Europe were coming into the country , so they continued to allow more of those groups to enter.

Immigration Act 1929
This act restricted upto only 150,000 people entering the US a year .
