CENTRAL EXECUTIVE:

• All info passes to CE and it decides which component should process it.
• Components can only communicate through the CE.
• CE is modality free- can process info from any of the 5 senses.
• ROBBINS 1996- CE may be involved in highly complex tasks- playing chess.
