DRUGS
What are they?
Drugs are chemicals which affect the functioning of the nervous system
Types
- Stimulants - INCREASE the activity of CNS (Caffeine, Tobacco, Steroids)
- Depressants - REDUCE the activity of CNS (Heroin, Solvents, Alcohol)
- Hallucinogenic - ALTER perceptions and may result in HALLUCINATIONS (LSD, Cannabis, Magic Mushrooms)
