The terms of the Treaty of Versailles

- After the Paris peace conferance the mains powers went to the Palace of Versailles

- Germany were forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles on the 28th of July 1919 

- The treaty dealt only with Germany

- Wilson had insisted on his inclusion of the league

- In loss of land:

  • Alsace and Lorriane were restored to France
  • North schleswig was transferred to Denmark after a plebsite
  • The union of Austria - Hungary and Germany ( Anchluss ) was forbidden.
