BATTLE OF PUSAN PERIMETER:

- lasted from August 4th to 18th September 1950
- one of the first major engagements of the Korean War
- had an army of 140,000 troops UN
- were pushed to the brink of defeat and rallied to make one final stand against the North Korean army with 98,000
BATTLE OF INCHON:
- was a sea invasion resulting in decisive victory and strategic reversal in favour of the UN
- the operation involved 75,000 troops and 261 naval vessels
- led to the recapture of the South Korea capital Seoul two weeks later
- the code for this was Operation Chromite
