Due to the failure of Henry's earlier campaign in France in 1512 made him more determined for glory and to invade. The Papacy was still keen to pursue victory over France and Henry learnt not to rely on his allies in order to achieve his aims. 
Henry therefore personally led an army of 30,000 men over the channel to Calais in 1513. The campaign was successful and…
