The concept of anicca

Anicca means impermanence and is the idea that there is no one thing that stays the same

• In the immediate world around us, the universe is in a constant state of flux
• This insight, for the Buddha, was a direct result of the first three sights of sickness, old age and death
• Anicca a law of the universe and nothing can escape this fact
