Succession

Succession is the change in a habitat.

There are 2 types of Succession:

• Primary - occurs in a newly formed habitat where there has never been a community before. E.g. a new island.
• Secondary - occurs on bare soil where an existing community has been cleared. E.g. after a forest fire.

Process
