The aim of this study was to study the psychological effect of hemispheric disconnection in split brain patients. Also to understand how the right and left hemispheres work in normal individuals.

The participants were an opportunity sample of a group of people who suffered servere epilepsy that could not be controlled by medication. The participants had all had the hemispheric deconnection surgery.
