Seismic Activity

Earhquakes can be measured using seismometers:

  1. The amount of energy released by an Earhtquake if measured by a seismomenter
  2. They measure the magnititude, duration, direction and vibrations
  3. Seismic records have been built up over time, they allow us to look at the frequency of earthquakes
