Aerobic Respiration

1) The chemical reactions in a cell are controlled by enzymes.

2) During aerobic respiration (respiration that uses oxygen) chemical reactions occure that : use glucose (a sugar) and oxygen; release energy.

3) Aerobic respiration takes place continuously in both plants and animals.

4) Most of the rections in aerobic respiration take place inside mitochondria.

5) Aerobic respiration is summarised by the equation:

glucose+oxygen>carbon dioxide+water(+energy)

6) Energy that is released during respiration is used by the organism.
