ETHNOGRAPHY:

often a combined use of observation and unstructed interviews to provide an in depth account of a social group 

advantages; 

P: provides a good hostilic understanding of the group being studied as can observe and expierence many aspects of their behaviour, achieving emphathy or versethen which increases validity 

E: can get informed consent from participants and can build a rapport so that data will be high in  validity
