Popular Recreation VS Rational Recreation


  • Rational recreation is at national and international levels (e.g. Rugby World Cup) whereas popular recreation is at a local level (e.g. School football games)


  • Rational recreation has codification and administration (e.g. the Olympics – has to be applied for and there are various drug tests) while popular recreation has simple, unwritten rules.
