Rates of Reaction

Rates of Reaction

The rate of reaction can be measured by:

  • The amount of gas produced over time.
  • Measure mass over time (with a conical flask)

The rate of reaction is affected by:

  • Temperature
  • Surface Area
  • Concentration
  • Catalyst

These alter the frequency of collisions between particles, and the energy with which they collide.
