Rate of Reaction: How much reactant is used up in one second
Collision Theory:
- How often particles collide, the more collisions there are the faster the reaction is
- The energy transferred during a collision
Factors affecting the Rate of Reaction:
Temperature: When temp increases, particles move faster and collide more frequently therefore more energy is produced
Concentration: Increasing concentration means there are more particles knocking about therefore collision occur more frequently
Surface Area: Surface area increases, particles have more space to knock around meaning collision occur more frequently
