Acsh's conformity study

 procedure- he showed pps two white peices of card one that had a line on and one that had comparison lined on.  the pps were 123 male americans undergraduates. each naive pps was tested between 6 and 8 confederates. they took part in 18 trials and in 12 of the the confederate gave the wrong answers.

findings  - the naive pps gave the wrong answer 36.8% of the time. 75% conformed at least once. when they were interviewed afterwards most said they conformed to advoid…
